Short project overview
The renovation project of Caffe Bar Leonardo in Split required a high level of precision, strong organization, and technically reliable execution. The space remained operational for most of the construction period, while a demanding interior concept with clearly defined aesthetic and functional goals was implemented simultaneously.
The concept, spatial design, and execution-ready solution were developed by Tassotti Design, while Studio Element d.o.o. was responsible for precise Flexijet 3D measurement of the as-built condition, technical detailing of drawings, as well as the production and installation of custom upholstered furniture, wall panels, shelving, the bar counter, mirrors, and more.
Project challenges
The Caffe Bar Leonardo space presented several specific challenges:
- irregular walls and deviations from ideal geometry,
- execution carried out in multiple phases,
- work performed in an active hospitality venue, requiring precise installation planning and minimal tolerances in execution.
Under such conditions, traditional measurement methods do not provide a sufficient level of reliability, as they cannot fully capture the true geometry of the space or ensure consistency between the design intent and the final execution.measurement and documentation process.
Solution: Flexijet 3D measurement and technical preparation
On this project, Studio Element carried out millimeter-accurate 3D measurements using Flexijet technology. This system enables:
- precise capture of the actual geometry of the space,
- documentation of all wall and line irregularities,
- a reliable technical basis for the production of all elements.
The resulting measurement data served as the foundation for a safe and accurate realization of the design concept, allowing technical drawings to be sent directly into production—without the need for improvisation or on-site adjustments during installation.
