Short project presentation
Project overview
In this article, we aim to present to you a comprehensive process of designing, technical preparation, and equipping the interior of a 54-foot sailboat. The project required precise measurements of the internal dimensions of the sailboat to make the most of every available millimeter of space while ensuring functionality and aesthetic appeal of the interior.
Technological approach and innovations
For the realization of this challenging task, MegaCAD / MegaTISCHLERpro software was used, enabling detailed design and technical preparation of production. All interior elements were CNC machined to precisely fit the shape of the sailboat hull, significantly facilitating assembly in the limited space of the boat. This method ensured efficient use of space, demonstrating the value of advanced technologies in the naval design industry.
Measurement process
The key part of the project was a detailed measurement process of the yacht’s interior, performed using an integrated 5MP camera to capture each measurement point. This method allowed for precise mapping of the space and facilitated the interpretation of the collected data. By scanning horizontal and vertical lines, a detailed 3D model of the boat’s hull was obtained, eliminating the need for creating physical templates or adjusting furniture on-site.
